Getting there
The closest airport to the venue is the refreshingly quaint and genuinely delightful Hollywood Burbank Airport (BUR). That said, there are very few direct flights in and out of Burbank these days, and options can be limited and more expensive.
For most guests, the notorious LAX will offer far more nonstop routes and better prices, and will help round out the full LA experience.

The Lodge Room is located in the heart of Highland Park, which has become a very popular destination, especially on weekends.
There is metered street parking and several paid lots nearby, but parking is competitive and fills up quickly. We highly recommend taking a rideshare (Uber/Lyft) to and from the venue.
A Note on LA Traffic
LA drive times can vary wildly depending on traffic, time of day, and your chosen route. The drive times listed below are estimates; please plan extra buffer time and check the eta.
where to stay
There are, of course, endless hotel options in LA and its surrounding hamlets. Unfortunately, Northeast LA—where we live and where we’ll be getting married—has far fewer traditional hotel options.
If you’re open to it, there are many great homes available on Airbnb and Vrbo. If you go that route, we recommend searching in Highland Park, Eagle Rock, Mount Washington, Echo Park, and South Pasadena for an easy surface-street drive to the venue.
Below are hotel options in nearby neighborhoods we think make the most sense for the wedding weekend.
A Note on downtown la
DTLA is close to our venue and many beautiful hotels at a range of prices, along with excellent restaurants, bars, and entertainment. That said, some of the rumors you may hear about DTLA are, sadly, true. The area has very high rates of chronic houselessness and can feel uncomfortable at times, and occasionally unsafe, depending on the block and time of day. If you stay in DTLA, we recommend being mindful of your surroundings and using rideshares to get around.

A completely different vibe. Very historic and full of old-world character. Rachel and Jane were briefly members here, mostly for the cozy bar, steak frites, and martinis (less so for the gym).

A stylish but more affordable option with hostel-style dorms as well as private rooms and a lively rooftop pool/bar.

Pasadena is an upscale city just northeast of Los Angeles and directly bordering Highland Park. It’s a beautiful, picturesque place to stay and a great option if you’re looking for something quieter. It’s very close to the venue but decidedly further from some of LA’s nightlife and trendier dining.

The Langham
Located in an high-end residential neighborhood with a suburban feel, the Langham has classic Old-Pasadena elegance, tranquility, & loads of history. You’ll feel far removed from the city, though it's barely a 10 minute drive.

A historic hotel on Colorado Boulevard in the heart of Pasadena, best known for its heated rooftop pool and sun deck. A fun, relaxed option within walking distance of Pasadena’s picturesque shops and restaurants.

Silver lake
One of the trendiest neighborhoods in Los Angeles (and still considered “eastside,” depending on who you ask). Silver Lake is farther from our venue but still reachable via surface streets, and it’s a very fun area to stay and explore. Just be sure to check the traffic, as drive times can vary significantly.
Silver Lake Pool & Inn
A very trendy option in the heart of Silver Lake, surrounded by great bars, restaurants, and shops. Known for its social, buzzy pool scene. Traffic can make this a longer drive, but it’s a great choice if you want to be in the middle of things.

Koreatown
Ktown is one of the most vibrant and unique neighborhoods in Los Angeles, known for delicious Korean food and a true “city” feel (much of LA can feel surprisingly small-town). While it’s farther from the venue, it’s a great option if you want a central base for exploring the rest of the city.
A modern, stylish hotel on Wilshire Boulevard in the heart of Koreatown, with excellent food and nightlife nearby, and a really great outdoor restaurant & pool.
